Welcome To Your Private Clinic For Healthy And Restorative Sleep
Since 2009, we are treating all forms of snoring, sleep-wake disorders, and daytime sleepiness of people seeking help from Frankfurt, Germany, and around the world in the American Sleep Clinic.
With over 30 years of experience in international sleep medicine research, we are a world leader and provide you with medicine at the latest scientific level.
Our Mission And The Principles We Follow
Our mission is to provide you with the best possible sleep medicine. We help children and adults to achieve restorative nights and wakeful days. On the basis of your history and preferences we offer target-oriented diagnostic procedures. Having analyzed your sleep/wake problem, we develop a therapeutic concept along with you: for the benefit of your health and to address your individual needs.
Promoting Development and Growth
Poor sleep can negatively affect intellectual and physical development from childhood. (e.g. ADHD)
Sleep disorders in children
Children should be considered to have a sleep disorder if they have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, learning and concentration problems, diagnosis of ADHD, audible »heavy« breathing or snoring, nocturnal urination after the age of 5, delayed social and physical development, pre-existing heart, lung or genetic diseases, severe obesity.
Maintaining Performance and Joy of Life
Only when you sleep well at night, you are fit enough to conscientiously manage the everyday tasks of life and participate in social life during the day.
Sleep disorders in adults
In adults, one must think of a sleep disorder if the following complaints occur:Obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease (especially atrial fibrillation), burn-out syndrome, stress or depression, chronic pain (neck/back), non-restorative sleep despite sufficient sleep time, tendency to fall asleep in quiet moments, loud snoring or breathing stops at night, frequent waking up already at the beginning of the night.
Healthy Sleep Promotes Healthy Aging
Sleep medicine for the permanent regulation of chronic diseases, heart diseases, and the risk of stroke.
Sleep disorders in old age
In older age one must think of a sleep disorder if the following occurs: not restful sleep despite sufficient sleep time, tendency to fall asleep in quiet moments, loud snoring or breathing stops during the night, frequent waking up already at the beginning of the night, overweight, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases (especially atrial fibrillation), stress or depression, memory disorders, suspected dementia.
How do we fulfill our mission?
Good medicine requires a good knowledge of body functions! That means: Without a good understanding of our patients‘ body functions, medicine falls short of its possibilities.
A sleep medicine examination means measuring your body functions during sleep, with reduced metabolism, without the disturbing influences of the waking state. This gives our doctors a better insight into the severity of your underlying diseases.
Sleep diagnostics in the sleep laboratory offers the opportunity to observe and measure your body functions in a controlled environment under standardized conditions. This enables us to provide individual and good medicine.
Through extensive diagnostic and therapeutic measures, we are able to objectify and treat sleep onset disorders, sleep maintenance disorders, sleep-wake disorders, daytime sleepiness, sleep-related breathing disorders, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, and much more based on data.
Creating Understanding.

It is important to us to pass on our knowledge to you. Detailed clarification talks, in which your problems are recorded and discussed using questionnaires, as well as the joint review of your sleep study, in which your problems are visually explained, are important to us. We take the time to answer any questions you may have so that you understand how your individual sleep works and how suitable therapy promotes your health.

What is Sleep Medicine?
Sleep medicine is more than just snoring!
»Did you know that classic common diseases such as chronic neck and head pain, high blood pressure, overweight, exhaustion, and stress syndromes arise from or are exacerbated by sleep disorders?«
01. Sleep medicine transcends classical medical disciplines and combines aspects of internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, psychology, and pulmonology to a unique medical specialty.
02. Snoring and sleep apnea are widespread diseases. However, the range of different sleep disorders is not exhausted by this.
03. Together, we now know a wide spectrum of over 80 different sleep disorders, each with different causes and associated with an individual fate and suffering.
04. Untreated sleep disorders lead to serious illnesses, reduced quality of life and often to serious social burdens, such as reduced performance or stress tolerance at work or in the family.
05. 50% of patients with chronic diseases such as overweight, high blood pressure, heart and lung diseases have disturbed breathing during sleep, which often goes unnoticed. This leads to a deterioration of both the underlying disease and the quality of life. Today, almost all of these breathing disorders can be treated.
06. We can help you get a handle on these symptoms and promote and maintain your health.
With your visit to our website, the first step has already been taken;
we are happy to help you and provide you with information on further steps.
We ensure the promotion and maintenance of healthy sleep to preserve your physical and mental health.

What does healthy sleep cost?
Our medical services are covered by most of the U.S. Health insurances with direct billing services. Since we are a private clinic, treatment is not covered for patients covered by statuatory health insurances (e.g. AOK, TK, Barmer, BKK, etc.). Legally insured patients can only be treated as a self-payer. We are happy to offer you a fair price! Privately insured patients can make an appointment with us without a referral. We will invoice the costs according to GOÄ, which will be covered by private insurance companies, government subsidy offices, and PBeaKK.
